MEGA-CORPS FORCES: The year is 2128, four years before the arrival of the alien threat and a decade into the bloody Core Wars. The war has seen the decline of the nation state as a major political force and the rise of the Mega-Corps as the dominating power in the universe. The planet Alpha Centauri has served as the key military manufacturing center for the Mega-Corps. Planet Runners, so integral to the Mega-Corps success, are churned out by factories that litter Alpha Centauri's landscape. The N.A.S.C. has launched a major offensive upon Alpha Centauri in hopes of securing it's manufacturing capabilities for themselves. Taken unaware, the defense forces of most of the Mega-Corps have been left without adequate fuel to power their Planet Runners. Your team has been assigned to guard a fuel convoy on route to a Mach-Shearing military base.
NORTH ATLANTIC SOCIALIST CONCORDAT FORCES: The year is 2128; the Core wars have begun to wind down. The only nation state to have survived this far into the war is an alliance of western European nations. The N.A.S.C. has adopted the Planet Runner as their primary weapon in response to the Mega-Corps success with that weapon platform. Hoping to capture the key corporate manufacturing facilities on Alpha Centauri, the N.A.S.C. has sent their remaining Planet Runners to spearhead an assault on that world. Your team has been dropped down to the planets surface in order to destroy a fuel convoy on route to a Mach-Shearing military base.~
